Want to become a independent Greenzone Inspector for your area? We are looking for Inspectors who have a minimum of 2 years experience in the Horticulture Industry or 4 Years Nursery experience, and are familiar with the types of trees in your hardiness zone.
You must be able to identify trees in any season (dormant or leafed), own a Digital Camera & GPS. You must also have reliable transportation and are familiar enough with MapQuest or StreetFinder to find any of the Farms/Growers who need to be inspected in your area.
There is a $500 application fee to become an independent Greenzone Inspector, which covers a background check, a starter kit of forms, and all our expenses in handling and processing your forms. If for some reason your application is not accepted, we will refund your entire application fee.
Once you become an independent Greenzone Inspector, we will provide access to our online system which will connect you to Farmers/Growers in your area who are looking to have their trees Inspected and Certified so they can have their credits be placed for sale in our online marketplace. Whenever any of the credits you have Certified have sold, you will receive $0.50 of each of those sales.
We require Farmers to submit a minimum of 1,000 trees to Inspect, which means if all the credits from one 1,000 Tree Inspection sell, you would make $500. One of the reasons we do this, is to help insure that you don't waste your efforts Certifying small lots. Being an Greenzone Inspector is a great way for you to make a difference, help the environment and get rewarded for helping connect Tree Farmers with consumers who want to help grow more tress.
